We are now closed until our next
exhibition opens in January 2013

Your Visit to Two Temple Place

The Exhibition:

For full details please see our Exhibitions page.

Admission is FREE to all schools.

The exhibition has strong ties to the primary National Curriculum, in particular the art and design units on ‘Mother Nature – Designer’, ‘Investigating Pattern’ and ‘Talking Textiles’. The focus on storytelling and myth means that there are also links to Literacy and the cultural stories, myth and legend narrative units.

Teacher Pack :

Our Teacher Pack for KS1 & 2 has been produced to accompany the exhibition, and will help you link William Morris to the National Curriculum. It includes a variety of schemes and resources to support your teaching in Art & Design, Maths and PHSCE. It has been designed to function as a stand-alone resource, which can be used year after year in your school.

The pack was written by Primary School teacher Matilda Maxwell and has been described as a 'wonderful resource' and 'inspirational' by those schools already using it.

The Workshop:

Workshops are available for primary schools. They have been designed to engage students with the ‘William Morris: Story, Memory, Myth’ exhibition by helping them consider, and experience, how story can influence their own designs. The workshop includes group discussion, pair work, observation, drawing, storytelling performance and writing.

The workshops are led by The Whole Story who have worked with the Horniman Museum, the Geffrye Museum and the V&A Museum of Childhood amongst others.
